The Etosha-Caprivi-Chobe-Vic Falls (ECCVF) safari is one of our most popular safaris here at Nature Travel Namibia, and with good reason. It provides a great combination of some of Southern Africa’s biggest wildlife attractions.
We start in Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia, and drive north for a four day visit to Etosha National Park. It is Namibia’s and one of Africa’s biggest and best known parks, and a must-see for any wildlife enthusiast or nature lover. It is a 22,270 square kilometre (8,600 sq mi) wonderland!
After Etosha we will continue further north up to the Caprivi Strip of Namibia, where we will explore the lesser known Bwabwata and Mahango National Parks, as well as the big rivers in the Caprivi, namely the Okavango, Kwando and Zambezi. The Caprivi with its lush green woodland is completely different to what we experienced in Etosha and is considered by many to be Namibia’s best kept secret.
Then we will move on to Chobe National Park in Botswana. Chobe has the highest concentration of African Elephants in the world as well as one of the highest general wildlife concentrations on earth. An real animal lover’s paradise!
The safari finishes in Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, the third country we visit on this trip. ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’, The Smoke that Thunders, is one of the most beautiful and most majestic waterfalls in the world and it is not difficult to see why the Victoria Falls is one of the 7 natural wonders of the world.
This trip is a small-group, guided safari where we will do lots of game drives and boat cruises and stay in top quality lodges along the way. We can even extend this safari to include Sossusvlei and Damaraland in Namibia as well as other parts of Botswana and/or Zimbabwe should you wish to do so.
