
Namibia has quite an extensive list of must-see places. On this safari we take you to some of these hotspots. Offering spectacular photographic opportunities and the chance to see the wonderful wildlife of Namibia. Then we are not even mentioning the breathtaking landscapes showcasing the beauty of this beloved country.
On this guided safari we will stay in more affordable accommodation which could include permanent tented structures and guesthouses. The accommodation is located close to all the major tourist areas. This safari excludes lunch as well as dinner in Swakopmund and Windhoek.
DAY 1:
Windhoek to Kalahari
Welcome to Namibia! You guide will meet you at the airport or your Windhoek accommodation. Afterwards you will depart for the beautiful Kalahari Savannah of southern Namibia. You can join the lodge for an additional afternoon game drive on their private reserve, if the time permits. Animals like Springbok, Oryx, red Hartebeest, black-backed Jackal, Porcupine, Steenbok, Ostrich and many more inhabit the acacia and grass savannah that cover the red sand dunes of the Kalahari Desert. This will be the perfect introduction to the beauty of the southern section of Namibia. We will enjoy a lovely dinner at the lodge restaurant.
DAY 2:
Sossusvlei
After a hearty breakfast we will depart for Sossusvlei with spectacular scenery along the way. We can lunch en-route and depending on the number of stops for photographs we will arrive in lzte afternoon. You can join the lodge for an additional nature drive. You will enjoy a lovely dinner served at the lodge.
The Namib is the oldest desert and boasts the highest sand dunes in the world. This region is one of the most spectacular areas of Namibia and always one of the highlights of any safari. The name Sossusvlei refers to the vlei or pan into which the seasonal Tsauchab River flows in years of exceptional rainfall. The neighbouring Dead Vlei with the ancient dead Camel Thorn trees is one of the most photographic sites in good early morning light. The Sesriem canyon is a narrow gorge about 1 km long and is well worth a visit. Several desert adapted wildlife like Oryx, Springbok, black-backed Jackal, Ostrich, sociable Weavers and plenty of reptiles and small mammals call this place home.
DAY 3:
Sossusvlei
After breakfast you will embark on an excursion to Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei. We will stop at the scenic Dune 45 along the way and spend a couple of hours at both Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei. Some of the dunes in the area are a few hundred meters high but the view from the top for those that dare is one you will never forget. You can also explore Sesriem Canyon this afternoon.
DAY 4:
Swakopmund
After breakfast you will depart for Swakopmund via the Namib Naukluft National Park. En-route to Swakopmund you will pass through Walvis Bay, Namibia’s major harbor town is well known for the lagoon and its prolific bird life.
Swakopmund is a very popular holiday destination for many Namibians and will probably be the only place that you will visit on the Namibian safari that has a real town feel to it. Wedged between the Namib Desert and the cold Atlantic Ocean, Swakopmund which is known for its very relaxed atmosphere, has something for everybody. There are plenty of great restaurants and bars, good shopping opportunities and fascinating architecture. For the adventurous there’s quad biking, sand-boarding, skydiving, beach angling and scenic flights over the coastline and Sossusvlei to name a few.
DAY 5:
Swakopmund
After breakfast you will depart for a scenic desert fat bike tour. You will experience breathtaking scenery of the oldest desert in the world in a fully ecological way without noise or air pollution and even riding up along the top of Namibia’s famous dunes from which you will enjoy once in a lifetime views of desert, sea and Swakopmund.. This tour is for both the scenic appreciator and adrenalin seeking adventurist. The scenic desert tour is around 12 – 14km long and includes cycling from Swakopmund town centre, along the dry Swakop river bed and up and down stunning dunes.
Once you are back in Swakopmund you can enjoy lunch and then have the afternoon available to explore the town or perhaps finish the day with a quad-biking and dune-boarding adventure. Other optional activities that could be arranged include scenic flights over the coast and dunes.

DAY 6:
Skeleton Coast
After an early morning breakfast, you will depart northwards along the Skeleton Coast. You can stop en-route to visit a shipwreck and also visit the massive Cape Fur Seal colony at Cape Cross Seal Reserve. You will spend the night at Cape Cross Lodge where you will enjoy a lovely dinner and a relaxing evening.
DAY 7:
Spitzkoppe
Our journey will continue towards the Spitzkoppe where we will overnight in the area. You will have the opportunity to explore this fascinating landscape and this scenery allows great photographic opportunities. Spitzkoppe is a world-famous mountain oasis in the Namibia Desert with unique and oversized boulders, secret caves and archaeologist sites, endemic bird life and scenery that will allow you to spend the night in peace and tranquillity.
DAY 8-11:
Etosha National Park (South and East)
After breakfast we will depart for Etosha National Park where will spend the next 4 nights.
DAY 12:
Windhoek
Today you will make your way back to Windhoek, where you will spend your last night. Dinner can be arranged upon request.
DAY 13:
Departure
Depending on your departure details you will have time for some last-minute curio shopping. You will make your way to the airport in order to catch your connecting flight.
