On one of our safaris in Namibia in beginning of March we found that the Sesriem Canyon had water in and surprisingly we found Catfish in the pools; sharptooth Catfish (Clarias gariepinus) to be precise! These are incredible creatures and just another example of the diversity of Namibia. When it’s dry, the canyon offers a great walking experience but after a bit of seasonal rain, it transforms into a home for the sharptooth Catfish!.
